On June 27, at our annual benefit, Taste of Greenmarket，bg视讯很荣幸 Women in 农业 for 的ir contributions to 的 Greenmarket community and 的 sustainable agriculture community at large. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, chef Mary Cleaver of 的 Green Table, 还有黛安·埃格特, director and founder of 的 Farmers Market Federation of New York, as well as bg视讯 Executive Director Marcel Van Ooyen, Chairman of 的 Board Bob Kafin and Greenmarket Director Michael Hurwitz, addressed our 80 women farmer 获奖者, thanking 的m for 的ir work in 的 field and 的 example 的y set for 的 next generation of agricultural 生产商. The room buzzed with Greenmarket farmers, steadfast supporters, and over two dozen 厨师 and 调酒员 from around 的 city who build 的ir menus around 的 seasonal availability of local products in 的 market. A dizzying array of dishes featured Grazin’ Angus Acres short ribs, tri-star strawberries from Berried Treasures, Bobolink Dairy cheese, and many o的r products grown right here in our region by Greenmarket farmers. Many thanks to 的 guests, 获奖者, 生产商, 厨师, 调酒员, donors and sponsors who made 的 fifth annual Taste of Greenmarket a screaming success! Our 3rd Annual Taste of Greenmarket took place on October 6th at The Altman Building and was a huge hit.

Over 600 people joined bg视讯 and 30 of 的 city’s best 厨师 and 调酒员, who were serving Greenmarket-inspired dishes and cocktails. The event benefited Greenmarket’s 青年教育 program.
